The Agnes Program
Grandmas are free.
If you are a grandma on the Treasure Coast and your computer, phone, or email is giving you trouble, I will fix it. No charge. House call if you are close. No proof required. Just tell me you are a grandma.
This is in honor of my grandma Agnes. It is the part of this business I would do even if nothing else worked.
What I can help with
- ✓A computer that got slow, weird, or full of pop-ups
- ✓Email, passwords, and "I got locked out"
- ✓A phone that will not do the thing it did yesterday
- ✓"Is this text / call / email a scam?" (Usually yes. I will check.)
- ✓Cleaning up after a scam call, including what to tell the bank
- ✓Setting up a password manager, backups, and two-factor so it does not happen again
The rules (there are only three)
- 1. You are a grandma. I will take your word for it. Grandpas: you are welcome too, I just could not fit you in the headline.
- 2. House calls within about 20 miles of Port St. Lucie. Farther than that, we do it over the phone or you come to me. Still free.
- 3. I fix software, settings, and scams. If a part is truly broken, I will tell you exactly what to buy and where, and I will install it. I do not sell hardware.
Free senior cyber-safety talks
45 minutes that will save someone in the room from a scam.
For libraries, senior centers, churches, HOAs, and community rooms across St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River counties. Plain language, real examples, questions welcome, and a one-page handout everyone takes home. No selling from the podium.
The Grandparent Scam and other phone scams
How the "your grandson is in jail" call works, why it works, and the one question that ends it.
Medicare, Social Security, and IRS impostors
What those agencies will never do, and what to do when someone claiming to be them calls.
Email and text scams
Fake package deliveries, fake bank alerts, and how to check a link without clicking it.
Passwords without the headache
Why a password manager is safer than the notebook, and how to set one up in twenty minutes.
This program is paid for by Wirsing Security's compliance work for local businesses. If you would like to help it grow, the best thing you can do is tell a grandma.
